I opened my eyes and saw
nothing at all. Darkness was covering my sight, like a dense fog on
northern meadows at dawn. Trying to take deep breath, but failed, like
something was inside my lungs. My hands were sore, abnormally heavy and I
didn’t felt my legs at all.
I should have been panic, but somehow - I
was not.
Sudden strike of light put me into painful blindness.
“So, you are awaken” – said womans voice, which I cannot recognize. It
was soft, calm and yet, hiding some sinister threat. Shiver came down my
spine.
“Do you remember anything? Oh, from emptiness in your eyes I’m
deducting, that you’re not. Good. You shouldn’t be.” – she continued,
while my vision started to adapting to the light.
“Who are you?” I heard my own weak voice, but I was pretty sure I have
not even open my mouth.
“Who are me?” smile on her mouth was almost hearable.
“My dear, you
truly are adorable, just as they said.”
They? Who are they? – simple thought occurred suddenly in my mind.
“ ‘They’ are the ones, who bring you there.” She replied to my thought.
“How do you...”
“Hush. This should not bother you right now. What really is important,
is the fact that I need to keep you here. So, tell me – who do you think
you are?”
“I’m… not sure. I feel like I am not belonging here, like I am from
completely elsewhere…”
I responded to her, just to hook onto something,
just to keep my sanity.
“That’s true.” She give me most creepy grin I ever saw.
At this moment I
was able to see some details, yet still blurred.
“And what do you think
this place is?”
Without any announcement, with a feeling of boxers punch, my chest
jumped few inches from surface I was lying on.
“Noo!”
The woman screamed surprised pressed me down and her eyes
glinted with red.
“Stay where you are! Just a few more moments!”
Her voice started to
sound desperate. But another painful jump of my chest break through her
pressure. I strongly tighten my eyelids, but with third jump I opened my
eyes… and then opened it again.
And I was back.
